Chicago Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade President Bob Kuczera

Two weeks away to Parade Day.

This Sunday (11/21) is Tagging Day for all our rookies as well as our seasoned poster graffiti artists. We will be meeting at Pindos Restaurant (Archer/Pulaski) at 9:00 am and depart at 10:30 am to do the Toys for Tots talk via the "Posterizing" of Western Avenue. The same day " Tiger Mark", Gina Atilano and their tree decorators will be fluffing the Christmas trees at Brookfield zoo. Both of the aforementioned events network our organization. Attend whichever one you wish to promote our good name.

There are also other TFT functions before Parade Day. On Thanksgiving morning, we will have our annual pilgrimage to "The Rock" to chat with Bill Wildt from Motorsports Unlimited and celebrate the first automobile race which occurred over 100 years ago in Jackson Park. We will be meeting at the Koffee Kettle Restaurant (63rd &Mayfield) and depart at 8:30 am with a schedule arrival time of 9 am. This is always a lot of fun and Bill always interviews one and all. It is also a good ride to make sure your bike’s modus operandi is working for the following week.

Also the same weekend will be the annual Crazy Joe & Leroy's Toys for Tots Party. This is a great event that assists our Hospital Co-coordinators (Hot Dog and crew) with toys for their needs. Try to make it as they do collect hundreds of toys, and Parade products will also be sold that night. It is a lot of fun and Joe and Leroy work very hard at it.

The TFT warehouse/store will be open one more time for TFT product purchases on 11/26/04 from 7pm until 10pm. Also product is still available at Oak Lawn Harley,  and Windwalkers. Their inventory varies, but they might have a couple of your last minute needs. There will be a major meeting on 11/30 for all Tier Coordinators and all car/van/jeep clubs on 11/30 at 8 pm at the Stempien VFW. Note: NO PRODUCT WILL BE SOLD on 12/3/04, our last meeting.

Start brainstorming candidates for our upcoming annual elections on 2/04/05. This is the time to submit any and all volunteers you feel can help, assist and or improve our Organization. This is the time to make your recommendations of any and all strong willed, opinionated, positive thinking contributors. Do not forget that our officers and committee volunteers sacrifice a huge amount of their daily lives to make this Organization successful. Nominees must also be willing to sacrifice. If they do not have, or can’t make the time, I recommend they jump in for occasional swimming lessons with one of our committees to see first hand if they can handle the dedication needed. We do need lifeguards and we need champions that already know how to swim. And all monies are due before our elections scheduled for 2/04/05. You will not be eligible to vote unless all monies are turned in from all TFT consignments.

Have a nice Turkey day and remember this is our Parade and do not stress out. Safety first, with a smile, and good manners will go a long way that day. We are now recognized worldly so let’s keep showcasing ourselves as Bikers who care and always assist at a time when needy children do cherish a brand new toy at Christmas. Thanks for your dedication once again. Sincerely, keep up the good work this is our 27th successful year and it happens because of all of you.
