and Leroy Erwin's "Toys for Tots Party"
Tonight
is the 23Rd annual Crazy Joe and Leroy Erwin's "Toys for
Tots Party". Details are as follows:
Saturday, November 24, 2007. Erwin's "Toys for Tots Party". It
is from 6pm until midnight .It is being held at "Lot 4" Bar and
Grill, which is at 10139 S. Harlem in Chicago Ridge. Admission is
free with a brand new toy or $10.00 per person. Pot luck dinner and
a cash bar. Live entertainment by "Timing's Everything" that played
at our Kick Off Party. So assist them in aiding the hospital elves
with some toys. Toys for Tots product will be available at this
party.
Westfield Chicago Ridge Mall
Saturday
11/24 and Sunday 11/25. Westfield Chicago Ridge Mall. The Toys for
Tots Product corner is located kiddy corner from the concierge desks
by the food court. Today at 10 pm Da two Bears "Biker Bear" and Da
"Coach" Mike Ditka look a like winner will be posing at the booth
starting at 10 am. Throughout the weekend Flakey our snowperson and
Whiplash the reindeer will be shopping at the mall. So bring the
kids for pictures and your last minute Toys for Tots product
shopping. Our entire 30Th anniversary product is
available at the Mall.
KB Toys
update: Note we also have Toys for Tots boxes at the following KB
Toys stores: Chicago Ridge, North Riverside and Irving Park and
Cicero / six corners. You may volunteer as noted earlier at any of
the KB toys as biker baggers, Details were sent out earlier. They
will be aiding us with toy donations and gift cards from all their
Chicagoland stores.
There will be no Toys for Tots product sold at
our last membership meeting
Note: There
will be no Toys for Tots product sold at our last membership meeting
this Friday. This meeting is to review and finish all details for
the 30Th parade on Sunday. We also prefer you do not wait
until parade day as we need all our members tending to their
assignments the day of the parade. So come to the mall.
Vintage motorcycle rider
breakfast
Sunday 11/25
Vintage motorcycle rider breakfast. Being held at the Holiday Inn
off 290 in Hillside... It is $25.00 for a morning of having
breakfast with racing motorcycle legends. It starts at about 10:30
am. Bill Wildt is generally there along with many motorcycle Hall of
Famers. Jin Vivierto and Dan Scmidtt host this an annual breakfast.
We generally do some TFT raffles at this breakfast as they moved
this date years ago to accommodate many of the riders who wanted to
participate in our parade.
Also we will be doing a live broadcast with Gina Woods via
Open Road Radio. So tune in that morning / early afternoon.
Can TV
Tuesday 11/27. Can TV. Start at 6:30 pm. Rumor has it Santa
Claus might ride earlier this week. So tune in with the kids for our
weekly live broadcast via channel --21. As he intends to stop by for
us to interview him in regards to the Toys needed for our parade.
Stationary and unfinished Toys
for Tots parade logistics meeting
Wednesday 11/28. Stationary and unfinished Toys
for Tots parade logistics meeting. All our stationery and Tier
leaders and assistants should try to make this meeting for last
minute updates via John Bartosiewicz for parade safety. This is to
review updates for road blocking and the motorcade updates for the
parade on Sunday. Our entire membership is welcome. This meeting
will start at 7 pm and is being held our headquarters, which is
Stempiens Post.
Our last official
membership meeting before the parade
Friday 11/30. Meeting # 6. Our last official
membership meeting before the parade. Starts at 8 pm sharp. All
final assignments are review along with other parade details. Good
conduct is in order, as sometimes we have guests and media personnel
present.
Dan Ryan Woods debriefing
Saturday 12/1. Dan Ryan Woods debriefing. All
new members are requested at the woods for a walk through at 83Rd
and Western. Meeting time is for 10:30. John Bartosiewciz and tiers
leaders will review all details for parking and departure
strategies.
Sunday 12/2. The 30Th
annual Toys for Tots Parade. Start time is from 5:30 to 6 am. Your
captains will advise you the time they need you there for your
assignments. Line up starts at 6 am.
Thank you
all for whatever you do, to make us the most successful Toys for
Toys Parade in the country. Thanks also to all those from the past
that have aided us in aiding others for thirty years.
