The
Black Hills Motorcycle Rally is held every
year in and around Sturgis, South Dakota, and
you can be there in the middle of it all if
you win this awesome vacation package. The
winner will receive four nights at the
luxurious Comfort Inn in Rapid City, South
Dakota, plus one thousand dollars ($1000)
in cash, which can buy lots of souvenirs or be
used for bail money.
The
drawing will be held at the Chicago Supercycle
Show and Parts Expo held at McCormick Place
North on February 5. Look for the TFT
Parade Volunteers at the TFT Parade Booth for
tickets and Parade info. Raffle tickets
are $1 each, and the winners need not be
present to win. This is sponsored by The
Chicago TFT Motorcycle Parade and R&B
Promotions. Mail orders for ticket
requests in multiples of $10 will be accepted at

may be obtained from any TFT Parade Volunteer,

meetings and at many motorcycle swap meets
in the area. Those outside the Chicago
area may email raffle ticket requests to The
Parade web site at info@ChicagolandTFT.org
. The winner is responsible for all taxes
and license fees, and winners do not have to be
present at the drawing to win, and all
winners will be notified ASAP. The 2006
Harley Drawing will be on Saturday, March 18,
2006 at Oak Lawn Harley-Davidson.

at work and did not make the Run in almost 20 years. I was sad that the
day was so bad, but I hope all the promised toys will be delivered. I put

"Please pass along a
belated Thank You to the parade volunteers who stopped to help us after a
fine outstanding citizen without a license or insurance crossed over the
double center lines and struck our vehicle.
The volunteers were driving a maroon Ford minivan and offered
assistance and a warm vehicle for my wife and two children. I
had decided not to risk riding up with the weather we had and thought it
would be a treat for the family to go, drop off the gifts and check out
the activities. My daughter
and son each gave their respective toys to the Marines and we watched the
only tier head north. We also
headed north towards the Marine center when the offending idiot struck us.
Our car was not drivable and we had to be towed home with the car
being subsequently totaled. The
positive side is that none of us was hurt and the idiot did not hit any
bikes this year. Causing
$7,000 worth of damage to our car, the thought of bikes being hit is
unimaginable. Again, please pass along our appreciation
to the volunteers. When I am
gainfully employed I plan to become a TFT member."

Many families ask about how to
obtain toys for their children. The thing to remember about obtaining
toys is that the Marines do not give toys directly to children or
families. They are not equipped to do that. The Marines and
The Chicago TFT Parade Organization give the toys to neighborhood groups
such as local churches, schools, hospitals, the DCFS, Catholic Charities,
The Community Chest and other similar organizations. Those looking for
toys must contact one of these groups to obtain toys.
