The Chicago TFT Parade Volunteers work hard throughout the year raising funds by selling Parade merchandise. These items include Parade apparel. ceramic Parade mascot figurines, raffle tickets, etc.
On Friday, May 16, The Parade Organization will present approximately $75,000 to those individuals and groups whom The Parade Organization has determined to be deserving of special assistance. Representatives from 30 groups will be present to accept our donations. This unique opportunity enables us to meet and hear about those who benefit from our efforts, and these folks also enjoy meeting and getting to know our members.
All Parade members are strongly encouraged to attend the happy festivities.
The program starts at 7:30pm SHARP at the Stempien VFW, 47th and Tripp.
Motorcycle Run to Honor Illinois Soldier on June 22
Plans are in the works to have a motorcycle ride to St. Anne Illinois to honor the memory of one of the first casualties of the war in Iraq. The Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run is scheduled for Sunday, June 22 and the start will be Oasis 160 at 160 West Joe Orr Road in Chicago Heights.
Line up at 9am and depart at 10am. $10 donation for solo riders and $15 for couples will be used to acquire a permanent memorial. Raffles, bands, and more will be added soon.

Christmas in July Poker Run on July 13
Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket Restaurant will sponsor a Poker Run to collect toys and funds for The Chicago TFT Motorcycle Parade Organization.
The fun starts on Sunday, July 13 at 9am at the famous Chicken Basket Restaurant at 645 Joliet Road (Old Route 66, just north of I-55 and east of Route 83) in Willowbrook, then heads out to a checkpoint on Old 66 in the Braidwood-Wilmington area, then on to E.J. Karrs Bar and Grill in Verona, Illinois.

President "Tiger" Mark in Pink Tutu
See new photos of our esteemed Parade President Tiger Mark Atilano, wearing a pink tutu, as he supports The Special Olympics by courageously plunging into icy Lake Michigan on a freezing March 1st. And there are also new photos taken at the big Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Raffle recently held at Oak Lawn Harley-Davidson.

Motorcycle World Loses Rights Leader and Roadracer
News from The Motorcycle Riders Foundation and the Illinois ABATE Email Service report that the President of the Motorcycle Riders Foundation, Buck Kittredge, was tragically killed in a single vehicle motorcycle accident near his home, near Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown. Buck was 56 years old and leaves behind his beloved wife Carolyn and his two sons Jesse and Travis, as well as a worldwide family of motorcyclists' rights activists with whom he had served for many years.
